Darcie Price-Wallace
I began practicing yoga as way to bring more meditation and loving-kindness into my life. I was drawn to the practice of asana as it provided space for mindfulness and balance both on the mat and in my daily life. My love for yoga stems from the meditative practice of aligning movement with breath and the gentleness and grounding that yoga has brought in my life.
I completed my yoga training at Moksha Yoga Center in 2005. I am grateful for the inspiration and support of my family and teachers who have encouraged me along my journey to teach yoga. My classes concentrate on both dynamic and static poses that enhance flexibility, strength, balance, and relaxation. I focus on the rhythm and grace of the breath to promote awareness and to calm the mind.
I am also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides therapy for children and their families. I integrate my work as a clinician and yoga teacher by teaching therapeutic yoga groups with children, adolescents and their families. I hope to encourage students to become in tune with their bodies and to embrace their abilities and uniqueness as well as to have fun.
